Delaney Statement on Buzzfeed Report President Trump Allegedly Directed Cohen to Lie to Congress
FRIENDSHIP HEIGHTS, MD – Yesterday, Buzzfeed News released a report detailing how President Trump directed his attorney, Michael Cohen, to lie to Congress about the Moscow Tower Project.
Presidential candidate John Delaney releases the following statement:
“As Attorney General nominee William Barr said, instructing an individual to perjure themselves is obstruction of justice.
“If Mueller has evidence that President Trump instructed Cohen to lie to Congress, Mueller must disclose that immediately, even in advance of his final report, so Congress can act.”
