FRIENDSHIP HEIGHTS, MD – Presidential candidate John Delaney continued his policy focus this week, announcing on Monday his plans to create an Entrepreneurship Czar.
“Unlike our current President, Congressman Delaney wakes up every day with the goal of uniting our divided country and improving the lives of all Americans. That is why we’re running a campaign that is focused on introducing substantive policy,” said Michael Starr Hopkins, Delaney’s National Press Secretary. “Soaring rhetoric and slogans may appeal to the Twitter crowd, but our campaign is committed to enacting real policies that will grow our economy while addressing the vast inequalities that plague our system. I hope our fellow candidates will do the same.”
Earlier this month, Delaney announced his Commitment to Black America package, designed to address stark racial disparities in economics, criminal justice, education, and health care. Delaney’s Heartland Fair Deal, announced in late March, aims to revitalize rural America by focusing on economic growth infrastructure, rural health, and agriculture.
Other recently announced Delaney policies include a plan to lower prescription drug prices, a voluntary national service program that includes a ClimateCorps, the creation of a Department of Cybersecurity, and investments in negative emissions technology to help combat climate change. Earlier this year, Delaney announced his universal health care plan, which provides everyone access to health care coverage as a right, but offers a mixed model system that preserves access to private insurance.
