FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Friday, February 1, 2019 CONTACT: Ahmed Elsayed, 301-500-8642, ahmed@johnkdelaney.com, press@johnkdelaney.com Delaney Statement on Governor Ralph Northam FRIENDSHIP HEIGHTS, MD – John Delaney releases
his week John Delaney appeared on The Axe Files with David Axelrod. Delaney discussed his blue-collar background, business career and why he’s running for president. This week, three local Democratic Party County Chairs from Iowa endorsed Delaney. On Wednesday, Delaney opened offices in Council Bluffs and Sioux City and now has six offices open in Iowa.
John and his team drove over 1300 miles from Wood-Ridge, New Jersey to Detroit, to Davenport, Iowa and onto Des Moines meeting and talking to hundreds of voters along the way.
Braving historically low temperatures, Delaney supporters turned out to office openings in Council Bluffs and Sioux City on Thursday. Delaney has six offices throughout the state of Iowa.
As the nation begins to debate the various Democratic positions on health care, John Delaney argues that the Senate’s Medicare for All bill is not the right answer. Delaney has a framework that provides universal coverage but gives Americans a mix of government and private options.
In Mr. Delaney’s view, America’s trouble isn’t capitalism but a dysfunctional federal government that has “stopped updating that basic social compact.”
Delaney… believes in returning to the assertive, values-promoting, alliance-building foreign policy approach that majorities in both parties once traditionally supported.
